When I say I need to stick close to home to see a brighter future, I mean right here at home because the issues in our area, much like the national level, need to not only be addressed but changes need to be made at the elitist level and I don't think there are enough motivated peons to secure us a bright future. What is it that shuts people down? How do we lose our compassion? How do we sit and just let 'them' do things we know in our hearts are wrong?
So, what gives me hope for a brighter future here at home? This kid right here:
Perhaps it will be her generation that grows up and makes that difference in the world that is just and good. Maybe her generation will be fair and honest. Maybe their compassion will stay strong all their days. Maybe they will have the key to standing up to elitist leaders and make those much needed world changes.
